Kiwanis Park
Located on the southern side of Sweetwater, Kiwanis Park is an excellent choice for family fun. Among its many attractions is a playground with a cedar wood chip play area, picnic tables, a decent-sized tennis court, jogging paths, and bike tracks. This 0.4 hectare (5 acre) park also has a grassy area for learning to ride without training wheels.
In addition to the playground, Rio Vista Community Park offers a variety of other recreational amenities, including a splash pad, seven lighted softball fields, and an urban fishing lake. The recreation center is about 52,000 square feet, and offers a variety of programs and activities.
The park is also home to the Veterans Memorial Wall, a memorial that recognizes the contributions of Peoria’s military veterans. The pond at the splash pad is stocked with fish, and there are plenty of ramadas. In addition, there are ball fields and a skating rink.
The Peoria Sports Complex is a baseball and soccer stadium that is used by local youth teams. It is also a Major League Baseball spring training facility, and is the site of national youth baseball tournaments.
Rio Vista Lakeview Room

Located in the city of Peoria, Arizona, the Rio Vista Recreation Center is an outstanding example of a community facility. With over 52,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, it is a great place for families to enjoy. It has a variety of amenities that make it a worthy addition to any home.
The facility includes the first indoor racquetball court, a climbing wall, and several other firsts. It also offers a number of programs that encourage healthy lifestyles. You can enroll in programs that include free group exercise classes and personal training sessions.
The facility features an urban fishing lake and an urban playground. In addition, it includes a large pool, a splash pad, grills, walking trails, and more. It has recently added a new inclusive playground that allows children with special needs to play alongside their peers.
The park is located off of Thunderbird Road and is a public space. It is maintained by the Peoria Parks Department. It is one of three large community parks in the city of Peoria.
Memorial to Peoria veterans
Located in the Rio Vista Community Park, the Peoria Veterans Memorial provides a beautiful place to honor the service of those who have served in the armed forces. It is also a great place to remember your loved ones who have fallen in battle.
The memorial commemorates 106 individuals from Peoria County who were killed in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. It includes names of past armed forces personnel as well as current armed forces. It also contains a brief history of the various conflicts that have impacted Peoria County citizens.
The memorial expansion included a cantilevered plaza next to the lake, shade canopies, and more plaza space. The memorial also has a restored Bell UH-1 helicopter. It was mounted on a curved steel stand.
