Our Commitment to Your Safety
At Italian Smiles, the health and safety of our patients and team has always been our top priority — long before COVID-19. Dental offices already maintain some of the highest infection control standards of any healthcare setting, and we have built upon those standards with additional protocols to ensure your visit is as safe as possible.
We follow all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Arizona Department of Health Services. Our protocols are reviewed and updated regularly as guidance evolves.
We want you to feel completely confident coming to Italian Smiles for your dental care. Delaying necessary treatment can have serious consequences for your oral and overall health — and we're here to make sure you can receive the care you need safely.
Our Safety Protocols
Enhanced Air Filtration
Our office uses high-efficiency air purification systems with HEPA filtration to continuously clean the air in treatment rooms and common areas.
Medical-Grade Disinfection
All surfaces, equipment, and treatment areas are thoroughly disinfected between every patient using hospital-grade disinfectants.
PPE for All Clinical Staff
Our clinical team wears appropriate personal protective equipment including masks, gloves, gowns, and face shields during all patient interactions.
Instrument Sterilization
All reusable dental instruments are sterilized using autoclave sterilization between every use — a standard that has always been in place at Italian Smiles.
Contactless Check-In
Patients can complete paperwork digitally before their appointment to minimize time in the waiting area.
Symptom Screening
Patients are asked to reschedule if they are experiencing symptoms of illness. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our team and other patients safe.
Reduced Waiting Room Capacity
We stagger appointment times and manage waiting room capacity to ensure appropriate spacing between patients.
Hand Hygiene Stations
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the office. Patients are asked to sanitize hands upon arrival.
How You Can Help
Keeping our office safe is a team effort. We ask all patients to:
Reschedule if you have a fever, cough, or other illness symptoms
Notify us if you have been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days
Sanitize your hands upon arrival
Complete digital paperwork before your appointment when possible
Come alone to your appointment when possible (exceptions for minors and those needing assistance)
Wear a mask in common areas if you prefer
Thank you for helping us keep Italian Smiles safe for everyone. We appreciate your partnership.
